When are you opening for applications?

This year we are opening in two phases Customer Development, Marketing, Supply Chain and Engineering will open on the 2nd of September 2019. HR, Technical and Procurement will open at the end of November.

How long does it take to complete my application?

It will take you around 20 minutes to complete the initial application.

What is the closing date for applications?

All applications will stay open until our vacancies for 2020 have been filled.

What is the recruitment process?

It all starts with the online application form.

Next stage is verbal and numerical reasoning tests, followed by a video interview.

If you're successful at video interview, the final stage is an assessment centre which will usually be held at one of our sites across the country and consist of an evening meal and overnight, followed by a full day of exercises and interviews. The overnight stay is a great opportunity to understand more about the businesses, roles within the function, the people who work at the businesses and to meet your fellow applicants in advance of the assessment centre.

Can I apply to the Graduate Programme by post?

No, we are only accepting applications via our online Graduate Application Process.

Will I hear if I am unsuccessful?

You will hear from our Recruitment Team throughout the process. If you are unsuccessful, you will be offered feedback to say why you didn’t make it through. We hope that this will help you with any future applications.

Does ABF reimburse travel expenses for attending an assessment centre?

Yes, we will cover some of your travel expenses up to a maximum of £100 . We will help you to complete an expenses form during the assessment centre so you will need to bring any receipts with you on the day. If you choose to drive we will pay 15p per mile you have travelled. Travel from outside of the UK may not be paid.

Can I apply next year if I am unsuccessful this year?

Yes, you can apply again next year, in the meantime click the Register Interest button on our homepage and you'll be notified when applications re-open.

Can I apply to more than one graduate programme?

No, unfortunately due to the high number of applications we receive for all our graduate programmes we would prefer you invested time to do your research and select the programme that you feel is most suited to you. For help on deciding, search for information on the “Our Schemes” page and take the quiz’s that pop up once you click on the “Apply” button on these pages.

Do you accept applications from international students?

Whilst we do accept applications from international students, we must fulfil our legal obligations. Within this context, and in order to avoid disappointment, it is therefore worth clarifying that unfortunately we are unlikely to be able to progress the applications of people who do not have the required legal authority to work in the UK, nor are eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis.

What happens if I don't meet the application criteria?

Unfortunately due to the volume of applications, we will not be able to process your application if you do not have the required criteria. If you are already in the process and haven’t achieved the expected grade please do give us a call to discuss further.

I have made a mistake on my application form, can I start again?

You can restart your application at any time. However, once you have clicked submit you will not be able to make any changes.

I am unsure if I have the required criteria to apply for the programme?

As well as the permanent and unrestricted right to work in the UK, you can find out more about the individual scheme requirements on the 'Our Schemes' page. If you gained qualifications via a different mode please refer to the UCAS website to find out whether you meet this criteria.

How can I let you know that my contact details have changed?

We offer you the opportunity to call us for feedback at all stages of the recruitment process. If you aren’t successful and receive a regret email from us, you'll find details of how to get in touch for your feedback.

I'm having technical difficulties with the online application system. What should I do?

For application/technical problems please email ABF@cohesionrecruitment.com

I only want to work in a certain location. Can I still apply for a role?

We need graduates to be flexible about where they work, and who are willing to move throughout their scheme and afterwards.
